THULE
Synopsis
THULE, set in 1962, at the height of the Cold War, is the story of a group of young men who, amongst an unknown frozen landscape of darkness, learn the meaning of friendship, communication, loss and the undeniable power of sacrifice. When the delivery of a mail drop fails scattering letters around their airbase, these young men undergo a dangerous rogue mission to salvage any news from home. Tragic, yet ultimately uplifting, our story is about a hero that gives his life to something bigger than himself and, in doing so, enlightens the other men and the viewers of how important it is to live.

Conservatory
The AFI is the preeminent organization dedicated to advancing and preserving the art of film, television and other forms of the moving image. The AFI trains the next generation of filmmakers at its world-renowned Conservatory,
provides film preservation, leadership and explores new digital technologies in movie maaking making.
The AFI Conservatory has served the moving image arts since its founding in 1969. More than 3000 aspiring moving image artists have mastered their craft at the AFI Conservatory.
The Conservatory awards the Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Producing, Production Design, and Screenwriting. Professional faculty members work closely with the AFI Fellows through the time-honored relationship of master and apprentice.
